University of Maryland University College (UMUC)



I worked as a contractor at UMUC from March-July 2009. UMUC is a university for working adults that offers classes on nights and weekends, and numerous classes online. I worked as a multimedia writer/editor, and updated webpages, edited and wrote content and wrote feature stories. I also managed the Facebook page and create and compile webpages. Federal Computer Week


From June to October 2006, I worked at Federal Computer Week as a reporter intern and then as a freelance writer. I published 16 articles, one of which was a cover story about the government's challenges in hiring recent college graduates. The article sparked a lot of interest, and Federal News Radio asked to interview me about my piece.

Prince of Petworth


In November 2008, I began contributing to Prince of Petworth. This is a DC-oriented neighborhood blog that averages 4,500 readers a day. My posts often receive 30-60 comments.
